On Tuesday, 30 January 2018, we were the lead sponsor at the annual Real Deals Mid-Market Conference which took place at the Hilton, London Bankside.
The Private Equity event attracts a number of professionals and features an action packed agenda, including some of the leading industry professionals.
Our Asset Based Finance Head of UK Origination, Pierre Vinci, was invited to participate on the Debt for Deals Panel, alongside industry peers from Ares Management, Idinvest Partners, Hayfin and HSBC.
The panel discussion focused on how GPs are using favourable financing conditions to their advantage and what lenders have to do to win their business.
During the panel, Pierre focused on the need for lenders to differentiate in a competitive market. Today’s plentiful supply of capital means that today, more than ever before, providers need to do more than simply supply cash – they need to understand how to provide the all important added value that will make the difference to the client experience. Whether that is with speed, quantum, product knowledge or sector expertise will depend on the client’s needs and lenders need to be able to offer a flexible and bespoke product offering and service.
