Sugar cubes

Leading Sugar Manufacturer

The Challenge

Following the acquisition of property, the business was restricted by a lack of working capital. The rising world market prices and reforms of the EU sugar regime presented the company with a host of new challenges as a leading supplier - and as the company approached a notoriously busy period in their calendar, they were keen to secure working capital to enable their future growth ambitions.

The Solution

Invited to participate in a syndication representing £50m of funding, ABN AMRO Commercial Finance provided a range of solutions to enable the company’s continued growth. Forming £15m of the total syndication, confidential invoice discounting combined with a tailored revolving inventory solution allowed the company to unlock much needed working capital. Additional plant and machinery and property loans afforded the business the headroom and flexibility needed to move forward.

The Result

Following the successful acquisition of property, the funding provided by ABN AMRO Commercial Finance allowed the business to replenish their stretched working capital - enabling the team to remain focused on their growth plans.
